Reducing Energy Use in Homes Wednesday 05 February 2020 07:30pm Quakers Meeting House, Sussex Wharf, Devizes, SN10 2AE

With around 18% of UK CO2 emissions coming from heating buildings there is much scope for reducing our carbon footprint by improving the performance of our homes. Such improvements have the additional benefits of reducing fuel bills and making homes more comfortable. In this event Robin Brookes of Environomic will guide us in learning how to make our homes more energy efficient. Participants will be encouraged to make a plan for improving the performance of their home.

Ethical Shopping Wednesday 04 March 2020 07:30pm Cheese Hall, Devizes Town Hall, SN10 1BN

The second of two events considering how we can reduce the amount of stuff that we buy, is timed to fit within Fairtrade Fortnight . This event encourages us to consider the impact of things we buy, not just from a carbon emissions point of view but also from an ethical perspective. This encompases both impact on the bioshpere and on the lives of the people who produce goods.
