Transition Network Health Check Wednesday 05 February 2020 07:30pm Quakers Meeting House, Sussex Wharf, Devizes, SN10 2AE

It is now approaching five years since the formation of Sustainable Devizes in its current form. The constitution written at the time the group was formed includes the following amongst the objectives:

  • Become a Transition Town by joining the Transition Network
  • Abide by the principles set out by the Transition Network

The start of 2020 seems like an apt moment to review our progress in meeting these objectives and to plan our future path toward them. Hence everyone who has been involved with Sustainable Devizes so far is invited to join us for this Transition Network Health Check session.

Further details will be sent to everyone on our mailing list.

Reducing Energy Use in Homes Wednesday 08 April 2020 07:30pm Quakers Meeting House, Sussex Wharf, Devizes, SN10 2AE

Provisional date for this event which was originally scheduled for February.

With around 18% of UK CO2 emissions coming from heating buildings there is much scope for reducing our carbon footprint by improving the performance of our homes. Such improvements have the additional benefits of reducing fuel bills and making homes more comfortable. In this event Robin Brookes of Environomic will guide us in learning how to make our homes more energy efficient. Participants will be encouraged to make a plan for improving the performance of their home.
